Giving credit where credit is due.
When I started Live with wood from my father's garage, I never knew it would grow into what it has become today. Now it's not just me in the driving seat; we have a team of talented individuals in the workshop and a hardworking team in the office helping with order enquiries and updates. We very often get feedback from customers saying how impressed they are with their purchase, or how happy they are with the way the office has kept them updated and helped them with their enquiries. I think it is so crucial that all this feedback is passed on to the people who make it happen.
We have recently started a fun points system to encourage customers to let us know what they feel about the products we have made for them. Every time a piece of furniture leaves our workshop the person who has hand made it will enclose a paper sheet explaining they have made that particular piece and could the customer please give them a score 1-10 out of 10. It was a bit slow to start, but now 95% of customers use our online form on the website to score their purchase.
It's great when we have a score come in, I go through to the workshop and let the team member know, and we also print the lovely comments out, and they keep them all on the wall near their benches.
I think everybody should be encouraged and rewarded for working hard, with the age of social media there is too many people being critical and hurtful about others and thats one of the reasons I will never stop giving credit where credit is due..
